Job Summary:

The EAP Counselor – Senior provides confidential assessment, crisis intervention, short and long-term counseling, and referrals for Froedtert Health staff; and is responsible for the documentation of these services. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mental health professional, providing short term/ongoing counseling to employees and their families. Experience providing mental health, counseling, and/or employee assistance. At least three (3) years of leadership experience in a behavioral health setting.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Clinical Social Work from an accredited institution.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION:

Knowledge of and experience in two or more core service areas (addiction disorders, mental health, wellness, work issues, critical incident stress debriefing, etc.)

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Advanced knowledge of statues, rules and regulations relating to the field of mental health and EAP. Knowledge of computer programs, including email, word processing, electronic health records, spreadsheets, and databases. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, orally and in writing. Ability to organize, prioritize, manage and carry out duties efficiently and within established timeframes. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Licensed by the State of Wisconsin in Professional Counseling, Clinical Social Work and/or as a Psychologist.
