Job Summary:
Provides administrative leadership to the Solid Organ Transplant Center. In collaboration with physician and clinical leadership, this role is responsible for oversight of the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (“QAPI”) Programs to ensure efficient processes, quality clinical care, and patient safety. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements, such as OPTN/UNOS and CMS. In collaboration with physician and clinical leadership, responsible for developing and coordinating comprehensive and integrated disease specific program pathways, processes and quality metrics. Responsible for the creation, provision and presentation of organ transplant dashboards, QAPI meeting presentations, and all other requested data by physician and clinical leadership. Works with service line leadership to implement programs, and supports delivery of leading quality, cost-effective, and efficient care. Provides training and development to employees and acts as a consultant to other departments, facilitating an interdisciplinary approach to achieve positive outcomes through physician-led, patient centered care. The incumbent is an excellent communicator who is able to bring disparate groups to consensus in order to move care initiative forward. Must bring lasting organizational change and adherence to the programs through metric measurement and reporting outcomes at the service line levels. Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the transplant preservationists, transplant assistants, and data specialist. Responsible for the training and orientation of all direct reports, ensuring competencies and is responsible for all human resource aspects. Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in solid organ transplant specialty area including program development experience is required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree is required. Master’s degree must be in nursing or an associated field (e.g., Management, Organizational Leadership, Education, Business). 15 plus years of proven success in process/performance improvement with Six Sigma Belt/LEAN training may be considered in lieu of a Master’s Degree.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication, strong editing skills and detail orientation.
