Job Summary:
Coordinates the clinical and delegated management components of the Medical/Surgical and Inpatient Rehabilitation units. Responsibilities include clinical resource, hiring, performance appraisals and operational management to achieve department goals and strategic outcomes. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Three-five years of recent clinical experience in which competence and expertise in Medical/Surgical nursing has been demonstrated is required. In addition, minimally 1-2 years of formal management and leadership experience is required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required. Certification in Medical/Surgical nursing is preferred.
